Savoury Breakfast Sauce | Saute-Sauce-Serve

Take your vegetables to another level for breakfast with this super fast sauce that will keep for ages.

Ingredients
  

Key Ingredients
  • 5 tsp soy sauce (20 mL)
  • 5 tsp Worcestershire sauce (20 mL)
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar (15 mL)
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic (15 g)
  • 1 tsp paprika (4 g)
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper (2 g)
  • ¼ tsp Kosher salt (1 g)
Optional
  • 300 g mixed vegetables of choice (works equally well for frozen vegetables!)
  • 15 mL olive oil (butter optional)

Equipment

  • 1 medium mixing bowl
  • 1 resealable liquid container (Mason jar)
  • 1 tasting spoon
  • 1 kitchen scale (or measuring spoons)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mix with a tasting spoon.
Application
  1. In a large fry pan, heat 15 mL of olive oil to medium.
  2. Add 300 g of mixed vegetables and saute until a light golden brown colour has been achieved.
  3. Add the prepared breakfast sauce to the vegetables and saute for an additional 3 min. Serve immediately. Enjoy heartily!
Storage
  1. Store the remaining sauce in a resealable container for up to 3 months in the fridge.
